Suguru Blank Puzzle

This is a version of Suguru which is rare to find.
The original puzzle was invented by Naoki Inaba and
called Number Blocks

  1 2 3 4 5

How to play  Place numbers in the empty squares by clicking or tapping a number on the pale blue row and then clicking or tapping in the chosen blank square on the puzzle. As you fill in the empty squares, each square must include numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. A single-square colour section would hold number 1, a two-square section would include 1 and 2, a three-square section would include 1, 2 and 3 etc.

Most important. A number must not be placed next to the same number and this includes up and down, across and diagonally. The uniqueness of this puzzle is that you start with a completely empty board and also that it can be solved by deduction and no guesses are necessary!

When you have completed the puzzle, if you don’t get a Congratulations message, use the Check button to see if there are mistakes. If you need proof that there is an answer, here is the emergency Show Solution button

and, if you completely bamboozled, the method of solving is shown on this separate page which you can printout if it helps.

I am hesitant to offer this but here is another empty puzzle, size 8 x 8, and this time deduction takes you only so far and you need to boldly guess your way to the answer.
