I, Robert Proverbs, of the Parish of Bosbury in the County of Hereford, labourer, do this first day of October 1860 make this my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath to James Reynolds of the Brook the sum of five pounds. Also I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Reynolds, his wife, the sum of ten pounds for the trouble she had with me, each legacy to be free of duty and paid within one month after my decease. To Mary Reynolds, daughter of Elizabeth Reynolds, I give and bequeath my bed.
Also as to all the rest, residue and remainder of my property I give and bequeath the same unto the Rev. Berkeley Lionel Scudamore Stanhope & to the Rev. Edward Higgins upon trust to pay and apply the interest of the same to the same uses as the Brydges Charity commonly called the Brydges Coal Charity is paid and applied and after their decease to the Owner of Bosbury House, vicar of Bosbury for the time being for the same uses I purpose.
And I hereby nominate & appoint James Reynolds & Timothy Warren of Bosbury House to be my executors for carrying this, my last Will and Testament, into effect and I hereby revoke and make void all other Wills or Testaments made by me & declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

I, Timothy Warren, of the Parish of Bosbury in the County of Hereford, butler, make oath that I am one of the subscribing witnesses to the last Will and Testament of the said Robert Probert, otherwise Robert Proverbs, late of Bosbury aforesaid in the County of Hereford, labourer, deceased, the said Will being now hereunto annexed bearing date the first day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty and that the said testator executed the said will on the day of the date thereof by making his mark at the foot or end thereof as the same now appears thereon, in the presence of me and of Thomas Graty of the parish of Bosbury aforesaid, farmer, the other subscribing witness thereto, both of us being present at the same time and we thereupon attested and subscribed the said will in the presence of the said testator. And I further make oath that before the said testator executed his said will as aforesaid the said will was read over to him and that he seemed perfectly to understand the contents and meaning thereof. And I lastly make oath that the said will was written on a half sheet of paper as now appears when ... executed by the said testator as aforesaid and is in every respect in the same plight and condition as it was at the time of the execution thereof.
