Tithe Apportionment for Bosbury, 1839
 
Summary:  An apportionment of rent due in lieu of tithes for Bosbury landowners prepared by Robert Jones, surveyor, of Ledbury and agreed by the Tithe Commisioners on 10th October 1839. Note that, by this time, the Hereford & Gloucester Canal Company had purchased a strip of land through the parish. The field numbers allocated are generally the main field number with suffix, a, and cover fields from 369 in Staplow to 614 at Upleadon.

APPORTIONMENT of RENT CHARGE in lieu of TITHES in the Parish of Bosbury in the County of Hereford

Whereas an Agreement for the COMMUTATION OF TITHES in the Parish of Bosbury in the County of Hereford was on the Tenth day of October in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Nine confirmed by the Tithe Commissioners for England and Wales of which Agreement, with the Schedule thereunto annexed, the following is a copy:-

Provisional articles of Agreement for the Commutation of the Tithes of the Parish of Bosbury in the County of Hereford in pursiuance of the Act for the Commutation of Tithes in England and Wales made and executed at a meeting first duly called and holden in the Parish and adjourned from time to time and holden by adjournment on the first day of October in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty eight and sice perfected by and between the several Bodies Politic and persons owners of land within the said parish bby whom or by whose agents duly authorized on that behalf these presents are executed.

NOW I Robert Jones of Ledbury in the county of Hereford, surveyor, having been duly appointed Valuer to apportion the total Sum agreed to be paid by way of Rent Charge in lieu of Tithes, amongst the several Lands of the said Parish of Bosbury —

DO HEREBY apportion the Rent Charge as follows:—

GROSS RENT CHARGE payable to the Titheowners in lieu of Tithes for the Parish of Bosbury in the County of Hereford Nine Hundred and One Pounds, Three Shillings and Eight Pence — (viz) —
