The plaque states that the first to die in action was Alan Buchanan on June 18th 1915. However, according to the board inside the church, Ernest Ballard and Arthur John Palmer died before him. James Fletcher is included but his brother Percy Valentine Fletcher, who served in the Shropshire Light Infantry, is omitted. | ||
