This style of crossword, sometimes called ‘Arrowword’, is popular in Europe. The unique feature is that the clues are in the main body of the crossword so you don’t need a separate list. The clues are simple as in the newspapers ‘Concise’ crosswords but can include answers that involve some general knowledge. They have to be simple clues as cryptic crosswords need much longer clues. The arrows show which way the word runs. Blue and red letters can be deleted or replaced. This particular puzzle is in a new 11 x11 format.
