Wiegleb’s Puzzle
How to play:
The moves are the same as Solitaire and the aim is to end with just one peg in the centre hole.
History:
Wiegleb’s Puzzle was first described in ‘Unterricht in der natürlichen Magie. Anhang von dreyen Solitärspielen’ by
J.C.Wiegleb published by Nicolai, Berlin & Stettin in 1779. The meaning is ‘Lessons in the Natural Magic. Appendix of Solitaire
plays.’ The material was repeated in the 1782 and 1789 editions.
