re allowing sow to come onto the premises from Mrs. Martha Shuck, Brook House, Bosbury. Saw
Mrs. Gibbs, who stated there was only the man at the house when the sow came. Informed her
that the sow would have to remain on the premises until Order withdrawn, also informed owner
likewise and reported facts to Supt. Broad. Found 16 pigs straying on Ledbury
and Bromyard main road, Bosbury Parish. Claimed by Miss Agnes Gibbs, Stanley House, Bosbury.
12.15pm Reported to Supt. Broad and returned to the station.

the following detained in the house – Arthur Jones 19, Stewart St., Cwm
– Irene Davis, 4 Partridge Road, Llanhilleth – Irene Breddy, 31 Meadow
St. Llanhilleth – Rachel Packham, 38 Partridge Rd. Llanhilleth age 14
– William Harvey, 135 King St., Cwm (age 15). Ascertained they were picking
at The Hill Farm, Castle Frome. Saw woman in charge and verified names
which I gave to Mr. Homes for purpose of summoning. Returned by Bosbury
Village to station. [Both Cwm and Llanhilleth are near Abertillery]
Friday September 30th
In company with P.C. Morgan (59) to Slatch farm, Bosbury by request
of Mr A. Moore whilst hoppickers paid off. Being too late to catch train
went to Hill Farm, Castle Frome to get names of parents of children caught
stealing apples at Gold Hill, returning to Slatch Farm thence to station.
